Rendezvous Part 1: Quattro

Wow.. It’s been what.. 3 weeks? since I last blogged! Maybe I should start mobile blogging.. Hmm.. Anyways, here’s a lil update..

Went up to KL last weekend with Kel after work on Friday to meet up with my chi muis since Cathy flew down from Sarawak, and also with Jason since I haven’t seen him since.. Iunno.. Forever?

Anyways, that night we met up with Jason.. Brought him to Quattro @ Avenue K for dinner.. Always wanted to go there coz I wanted to check out their winter bar.. You know, with all the hype about their chairs and tables made of ice and all…

Quattro has a 4 season concept; Summer (restaurant), Spring (lounge), Autumn (club), and Winter (bar).

Dinner at Summer restaurant was a pleasant one.. The food was wonderful and the whole summer like theme was great! They could improve on their choice of songs tho… and turn down the volume a lil.. Maybe they were trying to drown out the loud music coming from next door’s Spring lounge!

We then went to the Winter bar.. Had to go through Spring lounge’s walkway whereby every hour it would rain! We crossed 5 minutes before it started raining.. *Phew~!*

What was even better was the fact that we entered Winter bar a couple of minutes before they started charging cover charge! Yay! So basically we just went inside to camwhore… Didn’t drink a sip!

My 2008 @ A Glance~!

The Happy Times…

• Had loads of fun and shared a whole lot of laughter with my family, chi muis and Seremban housemates.
• I fell in love and experienced the joy of falling in love.
• Went to Hanoi with my chi muis!

• I graduated!

• Jason and chi muis came to Segamat.

• Holding my very first pay slip!
• Finally having a bank account with cash in it!
• Having met one of the sweetest and most loving person ever! *Teddy Bear~♥*

The Not So Happy Times…

• My heart was shattered. *Ouch!*
• I was worried most of the time during our Hanoi trip.
• I didn’t graduate with my target CGPA.
• My very close friend passed away and I couldn’t attend his funeral.
• Having less time for my family, friends and myself ever since I started work.

But hey, I had more ups than downs so my conclusion is.. 2008 was all around good to me!

Here’s hoping that 2009 will be an even better year for me!

Bye Bye Wisdom Tooth

Been on hiatus for far too long~! Sorry I haven’t been updating my blog.. Haven’t had the time *sniff*.. Anyways, I’m on MC today so I finally have time to blog.. And what better thing to blog about than the extraction of one of my four wisdom teeth..

For a few days now, my right lower jaw has been hurting so much to the extent where the slightest touch triggers an almost unbearable pain! So I went to see a dentist at the out-patient clinic.. She told me that the pain wasn’t only due to the fact that my lower molar was coming out, it was also because my upper molar was cramping my mouth space.. or something like that..

So anyways, I got an x-ray done and I found out that both my upper molars were out, while both the lower ones were still embedded in my gums.. The dentist then said she would remove my right upper molar so that there will be more space and so that my lower molar can grow out and removing it would be easier then..

There and then, she injected my top right gum with local anesthetics (lignocaine maybe?) and allowed my mouth to numb before she extracted my wisdom tooth. True enough, I didn’t feel the pain.. But I did feel uncomfortable through the whole extraction process since the dentist was pulling and pushing and doing what not’s with my tooth before it could come out..

Then suddenly, while she was doing whatever she was doing, I heard a loud, distinct “CRACK”!! In my mind, I was like “OH SH*T!! What the hell broke??” My question was shortly answered when the dentist showed me my tooth.. She had removed it but had broken one of the roots and had left it there.. She said it was okay.. But that’s yet to be proven..

Looks like wax doesn’t it? Lols! Gosh, it’s been 2 hours and my gum is still bleeding.. Let’s hope it stops soon.. I don’t wanna end up in the ward being infused with antibiotics and blood.. Yikes!

Anyways, Imma end my post here.. Hopefully I’ll be able to update my blog more often.. There are so many things I wanna share with you guys but I just don’t have the time to do it! Sigh~!

So until my next post… Whenever that may be…

Quartet Expanded + Makan Somemore!

Usually, a max of 4 PRP’s from my batch of PRP’s would go out together at any one time — namely Xin Hui, Yok Dai, Wai Meng and I.. Can’t count Kelvin in coz Kelvin’s an FRP.. Anyways, yesterday was the first time since we started working together that our quartet became a group of 6!

Then a few days later, Xin Hui, Wai Meng and I went to JB’s TGIF and the next day to a Chinese restaurant at Taman Nusa Bestari with Xin Hui and Kelvin, which then led to “yum cha” session at Old Town with the addition of Yok Dai!

Oh, I forgot to mention.. That Chinese restaurant is a restaurant after 5.30PM.. Before that, it’s a dim sum shop! Went there with Raymond a couple of days before that..

P/S: I miss going to places like TGIF and Chillies with my chi muis.. *Sniff* I MISS MY CHI MUIS!!

♥ Danga Bay ♥

On the last day of TPN posting, Wai Meng suggested lunch at Danga Bay.. Since Kelvin and I have never been there, we were like, “why not?”.. So the three of us headed to one of the most frequened tourist spot in JB without thinking much of how much the food was gonna cost us..

We actually had some Deepavali lunch made for us in TPN by Kak Silva but since we already ate her food in the morning for breakfast, we kinda needed a change of menu.. Don’t get me wrong.. Her cooking was absolutely wonderful! We just stuffed ourselves with too much of the same thing! Gluttons.. What more can I say?

Anyways, we went to a restaurant called Asiana.. The atmosphere was somewhat like that of Madam Kwan’s but the best thing about it is that it faces the straits of Johor! Lunch by the seaside.. What can be better than that?? I’ll tell you what.. The price! Totally reasonable for such an environment and such a big serving! The prices of food ranged from RM5 onwards! Not to mention, the food was really good too!

That was on Friday.. On Saturday and Sunday, my housemate, Xin Hui, and I were on-call.. So after work that Sunday, we decided to just hang out at Danga Bay and eat dinner at Asiana.. Then later, tiramisu for dessert at Cafe Lazio, which was just next to Asiana Restaurant!

This time, I didn’t bring out my camera.. So, the next few pics may be a lil blur coz my camera phone is kinda sucky.. But still breathtaking nonetheless!
