Happy Birthday, Fallen Angel!
August 28, 200823 years ago, an angel fell down from the Heavens and landed in a nicely cushioned sack surrounded by amniotic fluid and became mortal 9 months later on the 28th of August 1985! Though his wings were lost the moment he fell down to earth, and his memories forgotten the minute he cried his first cry as a mortal, this fallen angel had no doubt kept the one thing only angel’s had.. A heart so pure, without a tinch of irony in it!
However, now that this fallen angel is mortal, because of external factors, he grew up to be a name-calling idiot who loved to target poor innocent girls like me, enjoyed scaring people off with his infestation of sarcoptes scabei, had fun comparing the size of a giant pineapple with human heads (namely mine), teased people about being real women, and most of all, took great joy in seeing his victims act up and go mad everytime he bullied them!
But, although this fart-producing factory (who had once farted in my face just to wake me up) seems like a great big bully who scolds people when they cry, he is still very much the angel he used to be. His heart unperturbed by the evil forces that surrounds this whole world, remains as pure as ever! But of course, he only shows his true colours when situation calls for it.. If not, he’s just another great big bully! Lols!
Anyways, I just wanna say, Happy 23rd Birthday, Fallen Angel, who’s name is now Chin Tek Jee! Thanks for being a wonderful friend, for being there for me when I needed an ear and a shoulder to cry on, for being the pillar of strength to which I could always put my weight upon, and mostly for just being you! But no, I still do not like my head being compared to the size of a pineapple, and no, I’m not a lakia!! Nor do I look anything like the Mighty Ducks or whatever you call them!! Hmmph!!
LOLS! Have a great one, dear friend! God Bless! And I hope you liked your surprise! *Grins*

Tick, Tick, Tick & Done!
August 26, 2008I finally finished doing everything I was supposed to do as according to the SPA offer letter I got.. It took me a total of two days to complete everything including my medical check-up..
In my last post, I complained about how hostile the people at the magistrate were right? All that emotional turmoil just to get one damn signature!! Hmmph!!
I’m still glad I got everything done anyways! Check out my first ever chest x-ray!! And yay! I’m fit for service!! So send me to work already!! My pockets are really dried up!!!
Lastly, my KWSP!! Wee~!! I feel so grown up! LOLS!! Now for my future employers to fill it up ASAP!!
And now, to wait for the letter from Pharmacy Board regarding their acknowlegement of my being a pharmacist, and the letter from MOH regarding my posting!

Cekap & Mesra?
August 25, 2008I went all around town today with my mom to do whatever I needed to do before starting work. I had to go for my medical check-up (I did my CXR for the very first time!!), get some papers certified and signed, and so on and so forth! Anyways, I had to go to the local Magistrate to state my oath in front of the Commissioner of Oaths. Coz it was my first time, I obviously had to ask around – you know, how to go about? Who to see? Etc etc..
So anyways, all the windows to the counters including the inquiry counter was closed despite the fact it was suppose to be opened at 8AM (I was there at about 9AM).. Then I saw this lawyer dude signing some papers so I approached him and asked about how I should go about.. And gosh, he was so RUDE and HOSTILE and the way he talked to me was like as though I had a criminal record and I was being convicted or something! B**tard!
So fine.. I sat down, my mom was already muttering coz she didn’t like the way the guy answered me.. Then when I saw this delivery guy opening the window at the inquiries counter, I followed suit and did the same.. Because the windows are tinted, I couldn’t see the inside.. And when I opened the window after ringing the “call-for-assistance” bell, I saw a man behind the counter, playing with his handphone!! So OK, I asked him where should I go to take my oath, and he was RUDE to me! With his EXASPERATED tone of voice, he told me to go upstairs to where I would see an Indian man..
FINE~!! So I went upstairs to find this Indian man he was talking about.. When I went up, all I saw was a signboard that said something like “Walkway for Lawyers and.. urm.. something or rather” (in other words, no trespassing) and another door that said “Court is in session” (in Malay of course).. So mom and I sat outside like bl**dy fools waiting for someone to walk out of the door!
About 15 – 20 minutes later, I saw an Indian lawyer talking to some guy at the no trespassing area.. So I went up to talk to the lawyer.. And you know what? He just looked at me when I smiled, and walked away!! Again, FINE!! Then finally, this girl walked out of the no trespassing area and asked me whom I wanted to see.. And I told her I needed to see the Commissioner of Oaths and she was like.. “Oh, just walk through that door!”, pointing to a room at the no trespassing area! Like WTH?? If people are suppose to walk into the room to take their oaths, then why was that stupid NO TRESPASSING sign even put there??!
You know what was the most IRONIC thing??

Meh, Gi Kelate ~ Up & About
August 24, 2008I was in Kota Bahru for 3 nights.. The first night we didn’t go anywhere after checking into a budget inn my mum’s friend’s friend helped us book coz by the time we reached Kelantan, it was about 8.30PM and we were dead tired! I didn’t manage to sleep well though that night coz I totally hated the room, plus both my mum’s friends who were sleeping on both sides of me were snoring!!!
Not to mention, the comforter was not only thin, but also really smelly (like stale sweat), the toilet leaked when you flushed (which means fecal matter could have leaked out), and there was no toilet roll!!! I then asked for an extra blanket (which cost me RM5) but that extra blanket was too thin!! Well, at least it wasn’t smelly!
Can you imagine driving the whole day, then not being able to sleep the whole night?? *Groan*
Btw, I found that things in Kota Bahru are generally more expensive than most states in Malaysia.. That includes KL! I mean, it’s like you pay RM5 for quality food in KL, but you pay RM5 for crap in Kota Bahru! And oh, did I mention, it was RM99/night per room in a BUDGET inn? Madness!!

Moving on…
The next night, my mum’s friend’s friends brought us out to dinner. I was pretty shocked to learn that Dr. Leong’s son was married to my friend, Tak Yee’s sister! Gosh, what a small world! Anyways, we went to this one really old Chinese restaurant in Kota Bahru town. The food wasn’t too bad, and I really liked the taste of their Chinese tea! It was somewhat a fusion between the usual Quan Yin tea and “Lou Han Kuo”! Yum!!

It's been around for about 50 years??!

We wanted to go shopping that night but unfortunately we got lost trying to find a new hotel we were suppose to check into the next day! (Yes, we couldn’t stand it at the stupid budget inn anymore! Plus, we were constipated! LOLS!)
During lunch break on the 21st, we checked into our new hotel room.. New Pacific Hotel did not dissapoint us! Thank you, Pn. Nadia for recommending that hotel! I was so glad it had a real bathroom with toilet papers and proper, WASHED and thick comforters!! Not to mention a great view of Kota Bahru!

Bird's eye view of Kota Bahru
That night, after the seminar had ended, Sr. Lee (one of my mum’s friend) and I went shopping at KB Mall! It was like one of the biggest and most prominent buildings in Kota Bahru, and it was smack in the centre of town! I was surprised to see Kelantanese girls clad in clothes of minimal cloth, and Muslim girls without their head scarfs! To think I fell for that propaganda that was circling about how rigid Kelantan is!

The only other place I've seen McD in Jawi was Brunei!

DiGi made just for Kota Bahru-ians!
Well, all-in-all, it was an eye and also a mind-opening experience! I wish I could’ve managed to catch the sunrise though.. Too bad I couldn’t wake up in time! So now I can proudly say I’ve been to every state in Malaysia except Kedah and Perlis! Yay!!
P/S: Kelantan people are generally friendly and helpful! And quite a handful of them have long goatees which I was tempted to pull! LOLS!
